Psychotherapy with me can be many things.

A conversation about what is, what was and who you might want to become.

A space where you may safely share your thoughts and feelings, and what happened to you.

An opportunity to talk about ongoing injustices such as sexism, racism, global capitalism, climate catastrophe and how they might affect you.

A creative process, where we try to imagine a new future and to broaden your repertoire of possible ways of being in the world with others.

Sometimes we will be stumbling along.

There will be words.
There will be tears.
There will be silence.
Every now and then it will be boring.
And yes, we will also have a laugh.

Psychotherapy is a listening cure. We heal when we are being heard in a benign environment in the presence of a sympathetic other. Even though some wounds may never heal, putting words to what hurts will give solace and open up a path to relief, transformation and a sense of feeling real.
